Our Mission

Immigrant Ally provides free, plain-language immigration information for everyone in the United States — regardless of immigration status, income, or English proficiency. Immigration law is complex and confusing. We believe every person has the right to understand the rules that govern their life.

Who This Site Is For

This site is for immigrants and their families who need to understand their legal rights, navigate USCIS processes, prepare for emergencies, or simply learn what the law says. You do not need a lawyer to read this site or understand your basic rights — but when your situation requires legal action, we encourage you to consult one.
